2017-2018 Single plan For Student Achievement
The Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) is a document that represents a school’s cycle of continuous improvement of student achievement. The annual process of developing, reviewing, and updating the SPSA includes a comprehensive review of data and the development of actions necessary to achieve school goals. The plan also addresses funding and proposed expenditures related to state and federal categorical programs. Each year, the School Site Council and the local governing board approve the SPSA. School Climate Survey -  2017-2018
Our 2017-2018 school climate survey is a scientific measure that evaluates a range of aspects of our educational environment to assess perceptions and identify specific strengths and weaknesses within our school. The goal of this survey is to measure and gain an accurate, representative picture of our school from the community perspective in order to either determine and/or improve our various targeted areas. Healthy Kids Survey 2017-2018
The CHKS is a modular, anonymous assessment recommended for students age 10 (grade 5) and above. It is focused on the five most important areas for guiding school and student improvement: Student connectedness, learning engagement/motivation, and attendance; school climate, culture, and conditions; school safety, including violence perpetration and victimization/bullying; physical and mental well-being and social-emotional learning; and student supports, including resilience-promoting developmental factors (caring relationships, high expectations, and meaningful participation). Dashboard Tutorial (Video)
To help parents and educators identify strengths and areas for improvement, California reports how districts, schools (including alternative schools serving high-risk students), and student groups are performing across state and local measures. For state measures, performance is based on two factors: Current Year's Results and Comparable data to the previous year. State measures include chronic absenteeism, graduation rate, suspension rate, and academic (which includes performance in English language arts/literacy and mathematics). Future state measures will include performance on the California Science Test. Local measures are reported by school districts, county offices of education, and charter schools based on data available only at the local level. These measures include clean and safe buildings, school climate, parent engagement, and access to a broad course of study. This information is not available for individual schools or student groups. Based on performance on state and local measures, schools and districts may be identified for support to improve student outcomes. Click the link above for the 2017-2018 Dashboard
